Establish prayer and give zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves you will find it with Allah. Surely Allah sees what you do.

The Holy Qur'an, 2:110

The organization, in its effort to propagate Islam, maintain the implementation of its objectives and assist in uplifting the Islamic Jummah by enhancing its relevance and contribution to the social welfare development of its members and the Muslim Community in general, uses several Islamic Sharia-compliant ways to generate resources and utilize those resources to provide services, programmes and events for the community.

The Funds

Seven ways the Society raises and applies resources

Each fund is managed in compliance with the Qur'anic injunction and Sharia laws, with an annual financial statement published.

1. Zakat Funds

Zakat payment is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. It is incumbent and compulsory for Muslims to offer Zakat on their assets and incomes.

The Holy Quran and the Hadith of the Prophet both support the payment of Zakat, including the following quotes: "And establish prayer and give Zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves — you will find it with Allah." (Qur'an 2:110) … "Whoever pays the zakat on his wealth will have its evil removed from him." (Ibn Khuzaimah and at-Tabarani)

All Muslims are enjoined to pay Zakat, and Nawair-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has programmes and facilities to receive and disburse the use of the Zakat in compliance with the Qur'anic injunction and Sharia laws.

The Organization has a Team of Experts and Islamic Scholars to help every Muslim understand how to determine how much is due as Zakat on their earnings and income.

The Zakat Funds shall be managed by a Committee designated specifically to raise awareness of the importance of making this compulsory Zakat payment through the Organization, and an Annual Financial Statement of the Zakat Funds shall be published.

2. Zakat Fitr

The Islamic religion enjoins Muslims to show enormous generosity in charity towards the propagation of the religion and to other needy Muslims.

Zakat Fitr is a necessary and obligatory Zakat offered by Muslims at the end of performing the holy fasting Month of Ramadan. The Zakat Team of the Organization will always provide necessary information on how to offer Zakat Fitr, which can be offered in Kind, in Materials and by Cash.

The Online Resources being offered by the Organization are designed to assist our Muslim Brothers and Sisters in making cash contributions for their Zakat Fitr. This is also important for all our Muslim Diaspora who have communicated the need to provide this Zakat Online Payment resource.

3. Sadaqat Funds

Nawair-Ud-Deen Society in all its locations relies heavily on Sadaqat and generous donations from Muslim members and general Muslims. Sadaqat is highly enjoined by Islam for all Muslims.

The organization is presenting its resources and online facilities to enable all Muslims make Sadaqat to the Organization. Again, the Zakat Committee of the Organization shall publish all funds collected and how they are applied during every financial year.

4. Estate and Family Endowments

One of the biggest ways that Islam has been propagated and uplifted around the world is through Family Endowment. Several families and individuals have made tremendous and selfless contributions to the religion around the world in the quest to gain the mercies of Allah.

The Organization is able to receive Estate and Family Endowments in several ways to help improve the religion, propagate the religion of Allah and improve the standard of living of the Muslim Community.

The organization is able to receive assets in the form of properties and other physical assets that its Zakat Management Team shall manage and render for the benefit of the Muslim community. Such contributions can also be accepted in the form of other assets such as cash, bank account balances, deposits, stocks and other compliant assets. For more details on this programme please contact the Zakat Management Team.

5. Educational Trust Funds

One of the primary reasons why Nawair-Ud-Deen Society was given birth to was to close the gap in Education that was skewed against Muslim children in Nigeria due to the limited opportunities offered by the majority of the Christian Missionary schools predominant in Nigeria at that time. To address this issue, several Muslims closed ranks, including creating Islamic Organizations to primarily focus on setting up educational institutions to cater for the needs of the Muslim Communities. To this end, Ansar-Ud-Deen, Ahmadiyya and Nawair-Ud-Deen societies and a host of others sprang up.

Till today Nawair-Ud-Deen Society places huge and greater emphasis on supporting Youth Educational development.

With Primary Schools and Secondary Schools in Nigeria, the organization is launching a great effort to generate funds to expand these schools and also create a University in Nigeria. The organization will use its Zakat Funds to leverage some of these educational projects, while it is also calling all Muslims to donate generously towards these initiatives.

6. Foundation Funds

The organization will commence Foundation Funds Donations from this year. The need for the Foundation Funds is to enable the Organization create funding for the development and expansion of its facilities to meet the challenges of the future.

The organization will rely heavily on generous donations from all well-meaning Muslims towards its Foundation Funds, and create a Technical Committee to manage the implementation of Foundation and Legacy Projects towards the expansion and development of the organization's facilities and assets throughout Nigeria.

It is expected that a significant part of the Foundation Funds drive shall be generated from the Estate and Family Endowment Funds.

7. Youth Development Funds

The Founding Fathers of the organization were in their late 30s and early 40s when they joined together and pooled resources to create this noble organization. They were all relatively young men at that time. The Youth Wing of the Organization was therefore visible within the structure of the organization till the present day.

The current Youth Wing of Nawair-Ud-Deen is waxing strong every day with several tailor-made programmes being undertaken.

To support the activities of the Youth and the Women's Wing together, all Muslims are encouraged to join in contributions and donations to the Youth Wing and the Women's Wing of the Organization.
