Islamic Missions — Masjid and Islamic Centres

Promoting Islam, and establishing and owning Masjids and Islamic centres wherever the Society has a footprint.

i) Propagate Islamic Religion

Nawair-ud-deen Society of Nigeria was primarily established by the foresight Muslim leaders to primarily propagate the Religion of Islam within the Community. The Nawair-Ud-Deen Society was incorporated in Nigeria with Registration Number 191. It was registered on 09 Oct 1967.

The forefathers of the organization were staunch Muslims in the Community, and the need to expand and firmly inculcate the religion of Islam entrenched in a deep understanding and practice of the Five Pillars of Islam was primarily instrumental to the formation of the Organization.

Since its inception, Nawair-ud-deen has been able to successfully carry out this objective and is still waxing strong in the forefront to promote and propagate the religion of Islam across the globe. This subject, embedded in its slogan "Fee Sabeelil-Lahi", remains the strength upon which the organization retains its position as a front-runner organization in the course of spreading, expanding, promoting and propagating Islam throughout Nigeria and in several other countries around the World where it currently has branches and operations.

ii) Establish and Own Masjid

To enable the organization carry out its primary function in a concise manner, the need for construction and establishment of places of worship and Islamic centres is very important. It is equally important to Nawair-ud-deen to imbibe the principles of Islam and Allah (S.W.T) admonition for the construction of houses of worship. Al-Qur'an Karim in several chapters describes the houses of worship or Masjids as the best of all places on earth for Muslims to stay, pray and felicitate with other worshippers and believers of faith.

Nawair-ud-deen Society therefore considers the establishment of Masjid and Islamic centres in virtually all its locations and footprints as very crucial for the believer of faith in Islam to gather and worship. The Society has invested over the years since its commencement to establish and construct various Masjid and Islamic centres in Nigerian cities and around the world, starting with its edifice at its headquarters in Abeokuta.

The Society made it a mandatory requirement for all branches and locations to strive to set up and construct a permanent place of worship for its members. It is considered a very important subject as members are empowered through Fee Sabeelil-Lahi contributions and donations to construct Masjid and Islamic Centres across the cities in Nigeria where Nawair-ud-deen Society currently has branches.

The Society is completing arrangements to establish and set up a Global Endowment Fund to specifically raise funds and donations from the Islamic and Muslim worlds under the theme "Fee Sabeelil-Lahi", for creating projects to expand, construct and develop additional Islamic centres and Masjid. The Society welcomes Muslims around the World to participate in this effort and contribute generously towards this fund-raising drive to propagate Islam.

Nawair-ud-deen Society has Masjids and Islamic Centres in over 20 Cities and Locations in Nigeria, in West Africa and in the United Kingdom.
