About Nawair-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria
Nawair-ud-deen Society of Nigeria was primarily established by the foresight Muslim leaders to primarily propagate the Religion of Islam within the Community. The Nawair-Ud-Deen Society was incorporated in Nigeria with Registration Number 191. It was registered on 09 Oct 1967. The Nawair-ud-deen Society of Nigeria was founded on the 4th of November 1939. Every 4th of November marks a turning point in the history of Nawair-ud-deen Society. It is an indelible tribute to the Founding Fathers in 1939 when they gathered together to create history by establishing the Organization.
Inauguration of the Society
Prior to the formation of Nawair-ud-deen Society of Nigeria there were two different Islamic Societies using similar society names. One of the societies was in Lagos and the second society was in Abeokuta with the same name called 'Young Nawair-ud-deen Society'. Both Societies later joined together and changed its name to a new society name called 'Young Nawair-ud-deen Society'. The launching of this new name took place at 67 Vaughan Street, Ago Ado Abeokuta, popularly known as Jabar's Cafe, with the founding members of the first Executive Council.
